SABINE WINTERS

UTOPIAN AND DYSTOPIAN THINKING | FILM & PHILOSOPHY | IMAGINATION IN SCIENCE

Sabine Winters works as a freelance philosopher on the intersection of science, art and technology. She has worked on many interdisciplinary projects as project leader and curator. Trained in philosophy of science, she is practically oriented and interested in the process of idea development and the ‘how and why’ behind a theory or process. Sabine's research has developed with a focus on the role and function of the imagination in science. Among other how imagination propels innovation and which role imagination has in scientific research and paradigm shifts. Next to her freelance work, Sabine is the founder and facilitator of the interdisciplinary philosophy platform Future Based. Through writings, podcasts, discussions, lectures and programming, she wants to contemplate on how we try to find meaning in this faster than ever changing world. In doing so, she aims to facilitate new networks and foster more crossovers between different disciplines, providing new insights about this fascinating time we live in.
